If you start a sentence with a conjunction, you need to put a comma directly after, i believe those are the only grammar rules for it.

Teachers recommend you do not start sentences with and, or any conjunction for the matter, but it is just a suggestion. You will find many authors use it, and even moreso it does not violate any grammar rule.

hhahaha good point... and i thought autors were doin thing wrong

No, that means to harden, not to hard.

oh i am sorry, you were being unclear. what you should have said was that there is no word "to make hard." the words isolatory, "to hard", implies to harden if anything at all since it is not in correct phrasing.

same.. there's things i would like to tell some people but i don't feel like i can trust them. sometimes when i say i want help from a certain friend, i can't really tell them how to help... it's probably since i'm shy or too insecure..

Do i really care or need to? No...I, unlike you, am not choosing to be the grammar police around jsl thereby creating no reason for me to capitalize my letters because i am not preaching of excellent grammar except in a responsorial fashion. Why should i capitalize my letters when i do not care. I am a bystander effected by your grammar preaching, and one that keeps you in check because you apparently do not. I am not preaching grammar, but rather only making sure you keep consistent with what you preach. You care, so by you not capitalizing and having the perfect grammar you preach, that makes you hypocritical. by me not doing it and only checking to make sure you do not become hypocritical, that just makes me what i was before, a bystander not caring what you say, but caring that you practice what you preach. There is not reason for me to do so when i am not the one that cares.

So you care enough to check my grammar and not your own huh? How sweet of you!!!

Also, if I was part of this grammar police, then i'd correct everyone's grammar. However i've only done it to Ted and the other people who have bothered me.

Posted by PsychoSnowman on 09-22-2003 12:55 AM:

hahaha, what terrible points you have made. If you cannot win, you might as well mitigate the blow, right? hahah.

Should i correct my grammar? You tell me, and then tell me why if you are capable of understanding the argument as a whole and can think of a reason. I am not the one going around preaching grammar to everyone while misusing it myself. if anything, i have more credibility than you could ever have. I just preach it to the preacher to make sure the absolute actor, being you, does not preach that which he does not do himself. Funny how you cannot see the difference. If i do not care about being grammatically correct totally, i do not have any obligation. You, on the other hand, do because you care about it. Did you get that?

I think a grammar policeman would be somone who corrects the grammar of just multiple people. it does not have to be everyone.
