if youre shopping for old reliable cars get hondas or toyotas

Posted by hnefrdo on 11-23-2003 09:00 AM:

honda, toyota, or nissan are the way to go for something reliable. that being said, the subdivisions of those makers are good also: acura, lexus, scion, and infinity.

if you were here I'd sell you my nissan..

'84-'88 nissan 200sx are good reliable cars. I have an '86 and there's no problems with it mechanically. fun car to drive too.

buckets..very very old cars that runs but not run very well :)

i found a car a 1994 Ford Tempo for 2100 every thing runs great low miles just need to change all the tires

our family car, ten years ago, was a 93 ford tempo. had dents everywhere. that shit still ran pretty well. we had some starter problems tho, but nothing that you cant fix. shit will last forever. 2100? damn i woulda sold u mind for 500 bucks. dunno what we did with it. my ex-gf would rather have me drive the tempo than the 98 accord we had cuz the seats were more comfortable and plush and a lot more cozy. tempo is the way to go! mona lisa power!

the car im driving now is an 85 honda accord. doesn't get any girls, but it runs fine. i bought it for 800 dollars a year ago. with 3000 to spend, my advice is to go with a car with less options. the more there is, the more there is to break. yu can live without power windows or a sunroof. a/c is a must. manual transmission cars are cheaper, also.

stick with imports when shopping for a used car. just take a look around. yu'll see many more, say, 1990 or older japanese cars running around than american built cars.

everything in the car is powered LOL even the belts its strangled me LOL all i needed was a good car that runs well with A/C and power windows thats it.

jus' be happy with anything that has a/c and stereo system
whoever says 'as long as it takes you point A to point B' they never had buckets in the summer before... try to ride a car that has no a/c, no stereo system... and no power window and stuck in the traffic during the hot day.... it'll eventually drives you crazy... my frist car was bucket... i nearly got myself killed while i was trying to scroll down the window on freeway(first time driving on the freeway)...

yeah on the tempos they have the stupid automatic seatbelt thing. i duno why. and also the first thing to go on my tempo was the power steering. so watch for that. and trust me.... just cuz it says 80 doesnt mean it wont go faster. you'll just have to guess how fast ur going past 80. d=D
