i guess it's matter of how much you trust people...especially people you don't know that well...some people trust more than others...its definitely not a bad thing, but if you feel you can communicate better or become closer to someone by opening up, then i say go for it by all means..you never what to wonder..."what if"...even if you're just trying to make a new friend...and what goes around comes around...u may never know...if you open up..some1 else might also

i find myself closed. nobody can ever get inside my head, but i find it frustrating sometimes, you want to tell the other person who you truly are, and how you feel, but how can you tell them if you know that you are going to hurt them in a way? its probably because of the way i was raised... a shy lonely bastard (no, not the fatherless child, but i do feel like i have been raised without one, my father has no real significance in my life). right now i am sharing my thoughts so i guess i am being pretty much of what you call "open." people assume that i am open (repeat... assume) but in reality they have no idea what so ever of who i am, i guess i like being closed... im used to it, not like anybody cares anyway. im just one person, one out of the billions of people that live on this planet and i dont find it necessary to be actually open. but yes, to people i can trust i am open, and in reality i am truly open to one person, and God himself.

i think i'm selectively open. i'm open to really close friends... but even with them, i can be open on some days... and other days, i can't.

lol.... me 2... im usually more open to my friends than to other people....

You will never understand those around you, and they will never understand you, unless you speak against their original thoughts. I've tried to be a real open person this year. I tried getting to know all sorts of different people, not too personally but enough so that I know who they are and they know me. That's one of the reasons I'm writing this now, I'm interested to see how people here are, like you Jusun, you've been on my bus sometimes and you never say anything, but that's not how it is here right? Curiosity killed the cat doesn't always apply to this, the truth is, if you're interested, stand up and speak. And if you get burned, go on, there are others who won't act like an ass to you. If you don't build an immunity to assholes, you will never get on in life.

Only go against those who have offended you first, act normal to the rest, and you will find that you have a lot more variety in your life and a lot more friends.
