Do you know how many differnt companies make turbos? There is not acual standard of Turbos. Just like the Clutches. "Wow, I have a stage 3 clutch." What's that suppose to mean? there's no accual standard. Just probally says it's more impratical for the street. Or someone has been play waaay too much GT3 for PS2.

i was just saying it generally, i wasn't gonna break it down specifically so i just said stage 4..

btw..if im not mistaken isn't a stage 4 for like all out drag races only?

uh.

When you drag, you want a small turbo.

the way it works is, the bigger the turbo. the more it has to spool to build pressure. the more exhaust the engine pushes out, the faster it will build pressure.

in dragging, you will be idling, and you dont want turbo lag.. so you get a small turbo so it doesnt have to spool as long.

twin turbo means that you have 1 big and 1 small turbo, that way you get no turbo lag.. and it increases your peak power.. because you can have a HUGE turbo.

oh...is that why people spray nitrous in the beginning? to spool up they're big turbos rite?

Generally true, but some cars with two banks of cylinders, like V6s and V8s (but not all of them) have two identical turbos, one for each bank. It gives the boost of running one big turbo, but the lag of running small turbos. Pretty freaky.

hm.. yeah that does make sense...
