Nope. Technically it goes, first stage, second stage, third stage(which is the movie), and then extra stage takes place after second and somewhat into third, and battle stage, is just there.

how do you guys know what what happens next? the manga? anyway i've seen about every episode in initial-d 1st, 2nd, 3rd (just finished) and the battle stage (gay) and the extra stage (sil-80 ^__^) but i dont know how u guys know this stuff about itsuki and stuff. and some1 told me takumis dad buys a WRX and beats him.

dude, its in the manga. The Anime more or less follows the manga, with slight changes. One being that Takumi doesn't race the sileighty till after he races ryosuke on Mt. Akina.

it's not a rumor; Jackie Chan is producing "Initial-D" as a live-action movie. Edison Chen is starring as "Takumi" and guess what? it's official, Boa is playing Takumi's girlfriend! yey! i dunno when the movie is gonna be finished, but seeing BoA on the big screen will be exciting.

i thought it was going to be Nicholas Tse
it would be heaps better...cos then he can talk to BoA in japanese since they both know Jap pretty fluently

oh yes. Tokyo pop is translating the japanese manga into english. They have translated it up to volume 2. The point in where Takumi is about to race the R32 guy.
