How the RIAA tracks music swappers
If ID1/ID3 tags are modified, is there still meta-data that can be embedded in mp3's to uniquely trace such files? And wouldn't modifying the tags change the checksums? If so, I do realize that some of the tracing techniques are targetted towards the average joe users.
i heard from the riaa that they are "calming down." they are not that strict as they used to be. i'm not saying its safe to continue downloading, just that the fear has gone down. the riaa said that they dont want 14 year old arrested because of some musics.
they started the whole witchhunt in the first place
its ok to dl just dont do it a lot... and dont share... they are tring to get people that share a lot of files but take them out of ur share folder. and most of the timme i dont dl music i dl either movies games videos or tv shows...all the new musioc are fake unless u get lucky... and like they are only checking some programs... they are not checking e mule which is pretty good and um.. i dont noe.. look it up online
