Andre Agassi becomes new face of Kia Motors

Seoul 25. September - Tennis superstar Andre Agassi recently signed a two year advertising contract with Kia Motors. He will appear in a corporate advertising campaign, which will be launched in November. The company is also planning various promotional events featuring Andre Agassi including a fan signing ceremony.

Andre Agassi debuted in 1986 and has won 53 singles titles including many major tournaments. He is currently ranked 2nd in the world and has won 4 tournaments this year.

The contract is a part of Kia's strategy to enhance its sports marketing activities The agreement with Andre Agassi complements Kia's sponsorship of the Australian Tennis Open, which will enter its second year in 2003.

Senior executive vice president Mark Juhn, Kia's chief operating officer said, "Kia is positioning itself as a young, sporty, and friendly brand. Andre Agassi is a perfect match for our brand values and this advertising campaign will be a major step in repositioning Kia around the world."

Founded in 1944, Kia Motors Corporation (www.kia.co.kr) is Korea's oldest manufacturer of automobiles. A part of the Hyundai Automobile Group, the company currently exports around 600,000 vehicles per year through a network of distributors that covers 160 countries. Kia Motors is the major sponsor of the Australian Tennis Open.

NO, they just saying that because , because theres lots of hateres like Prototype..

its a good way to advertise cars. Like Mitsubishi and Jackie Chan. Tiger Woods with Buick. Tom Cruise with Triumph Motor cycles. And one of the best tennis players,, for Kia...Say what the hell all you want Prototype.

Hyundai Rally team recently had Mario Lopez from Save by the bell.. a temporarly Rally car driver.
