Formulas
I have an Idea, we can post up Formulas that may be useful here.
Just say what course it's for and post it. I'll then add it to this post on the top. This should make life easier for people who don't know or forgot the formula for a thingy.
unstickifying.
theres literally thousands of formulas to memorize for all the different classes (geometry, algebra, precalc, calc, linear, chem, physics...). to have one generic post-all-your-formulas thread would be ineffective.
forumula for finding the surface area of a sphere :
4(pi)(r)squared (i wish i had the correct font to type it out!)
volume of a sphere = 4(pi)(r)cubed divided by 3
eh this is too hard..so i'll jus stop here
here is a practical one everyone has to use, so if you forget it sometime, just come back here!:
X = -b + or - (Sqrroot(b^2-4ac))/2a

formula for finding exactly where on earth fudga is:
C/S PO/C
-------------- x -----------
3BO=GA DHP
cheese sandwich
over three bottles of ginger ale
times
penguins on crackers
over dumb homeless person
For AP Chem, Anything to do with Thermochemistry is generally fixing up the problem then multiply everything by everything, or sum of products minus the sum or reactants.
Hell yeah I got a fifty-something on that test. (2 classes in our school, 2 ppl pass this test in our class, everyone passed in other class(in prev. tests, our class goes at a rate 10x faster))

hah, how's the song go? i never heard of it.
-edit- alchemist, go read my theories in my subprofile on AIM. It's back up again. sn: VaprSnake21.

Basically say the quadratic formula to the tune of "Pop goes the weasel"
I was reading your profile's philosophy on political correctness when all of a sudden you signed off aim. :sleep:
Isn't it wierd how multiple people can individually come up with the same thing? There I was thinking "Is human instinct suicidal or something? Why are people offended by things that make perfect sense?" Then you come along thinking "political correctness is gonna screw us over" It's so cool.
hah, sorry bout signing off . i'm online most of the day cause i just leave it on though, so ample opportunity heh.
It is odd that different people can come up with the exact same idea. I thought up that morpheus method theory i wrote, and then i find out that numerous other people have all ready written stuff strikingly similar to it. It's self-defeating (in that others have all ready thought of it) and reaffirming at the same time though, heh..sweet

quotient rule for derivitives:
g(x)/h(x)= (h(x)g'(x) - g(x)h'(x)) / h(x)^2

nope....
Density = mass/volume

dang.....to post up formulas u must be freakin bored....lyke i am rite now.....soooo...to help me remember my calc....sum derivative rules...
sin u = cos u * du/dx
cos u = -sin u *du/dx
tan u = (sec u)^2 * du/dx
sec u = sec u * tan u * du/dx
csc u = -csc u * cot u * du/dx
cot u = -(csc u)^2 * du/dx

Ooooo... forumlas.. i got some up my sleeve... hehe
let see... matrix formula... Ax =b
Ohm's Law: V=IR
Power= P=IV=I^2R=V^2/R
PV=nRT
that's all i can think of so far... oh yeah.. one for unit vectors
u =(xi +yj +zk)/sqrt(x^2+y^2+z^2)
pre al * sigh *
you guys know you liked my forumla
delta ANYTHING = ANYTHING final - ANYTHING initial
Sum of the forces = (mass)(acceleration)
d(ln x) = 1/x
d(e^x) = e^x
sin(45 degrees) = sqrt(2)/2
sin(30 degrees) = 1/2
cos(60 degrees) = 1/2
cos(30 degrees) = sqrt(3)/2

the sum of all forces will always equal mass * acceleration. It's not saying that mass * acceleration is a sum. It's saying that if you have forces, F1, F2 etc., then:
F1 + F2 = mass *acceleration
it's like saying, this is a terrible example i apologize but it works,
3 + 5 = 2 * 4
8 = 2 * 4
haha, there it is. Thank you hehe Hope that helped.
