Is it better to bring back old threads or start threads that are of a similar theme to an old thread?
Such audacity moralists have. And, no i am not for it.
I would say to alchemist's inquiry that it would be better to bring back an old one so as to supplement rather than reiterate. It gets redundant if we make new "old" threads.

i don't support capital punishment. people like oj sipmson can hire a really expensive lawyer to get out of trouble while poor people get a crappy lawyer and die.
im against it. its better for them 2 hav life in prison. death is an easy way out if they deserve it. let them suffer

I don't have the actual quote but Heinlin once wrote about how correcting felons is similar to raising puppies. When a puppy poops in the house you punish it, eventually it learns.
But if your puppy poops in the house and you wait for a while and then leave it inside an enclosed but comfortable area for a while and then let it out, it won't learn that pooping inside the house is bad. Then one day you find out that your dog is no longer a puppy but is now fully grown and still has not learned not to poop in the house and you take out a gun and shoot it.
It was something like this.
hmm, i agree and disagree w/u. No the death penality it inhumane, and should not be practiced. BUT if someone deserves life in prison, y make them suffer, that's inhumane also.. i dont' believe that more money needs to be spent on prisons than on education, in my opinion everything revolves around a persons education, which will also affect the individuals morals and decisions. so in conclusion, i think the death penality should and will be used. i dont' see a reason for making someone suffer because it makes us happy, and i think we would waste less money killing an oversized population than increasing prison sizes and decreasing our educational potentional.
