-- underline? (https://www.jusunlee.com/forums/showthread.php?threadid=13769)

underline?

At school they require us to underline titles of books and put titles of poems in quotes in an essay. So what do we do for a title of a video game?

Posted by kysse on 09-04-2003 04:29 AM:

probably italics.

you have to write the text either pixelated or small enough so you can't see the pixels and it you can only use 8 colors like so:

this is another excellent example:

Italics are the same as underlining.

I'd go with underlining...? I'm not sure though.

what kind of essay is it?

Posted by hnefrdo on 09-10-2003 04:26 AM:

im a college freshmen. my english teacher just ran over this subject today. if it's not too late, here it is:

if yu can hold it in yur hand, yu underline it(examples: book, video game, newspaper, etc.).

if yu can't hold it, yu put it in quotes(examples: a chapter title from a book, an article from the newspaper, a poem title, etc.).

i hope that helps.

http://www.mccallie.org/wrt_ctr/mlacitations.htm

i could not find anything online about video games but i would just cite it like a CD-ROM. Work cited for MLA format i know is really not as strict as it seems, just put it in a logical order, they would never know the difference nor would they care.

Thanks for the help people.

I think I put it in quotes, but next time I guess I'll underline it.
