A poem

An old man recited this to me when I was angry and crying because my sister was leaving our family. I will never forget it because it's so sad, yet, very beautiful.

Your family is like a tree with birds,
Your parents are the tree,
Your siblings and you are the birds.
Time will pass by and each bird will leave.

*Of course, this is translated into English from Hmong.
