i'm just a html beginner here.....and i've recently started my own homepage...i'm using geocities at the moment...and it has so many freaking pop ups!!! does anyone know the html code to block the pop ups??

i signed up with geocities and came up with a solution. see, i go so out of my way to make the people who come here happy.

anyways.. copy and append the following to the end of your html code.

do you mean by pasting that code after </html> or just before that?
coz i tried both ways and it doesn't work >_< i dunno what i'm doing wrong...the pop ups still pop up!

eh.
thats weird, because it works for me. go here to see it yourself. what the code does is hide the advertisement through css1, so you'll need ie or netscape 4 or above.

well i say screw geocities. try www.brinkster.com even if u got rid of pop ups. This thing is pop-up free and decent amount of 30mb of space which is good enuff for a site unless uw anna upload. the thing is it has a 17mb bandwith a day thing so if u plan to get alot of hits u probably should get sumthin else.
