Philosophers

What do modern day Philosophers do?

Where do they chill?

How can I meet them?

Posted by tm11 on 09-25-2002 05:01 AM:

a lot of them work and teach at universities. Many of them study the work of previous philosophers, and then expound upon those ideas or formulate their own. Many of them write on their theories, and some are lucky enough to get published in books or journals... I don't know where they chill though... maybe coffee shops or libraries haha.

On the flipside, start up a conversation with the next homeless person you see, I'm sure you'll hear a fairly interesting outlook on life.

modern day philsophy isn't hard to find.

hell, give any crazy, 14 year old, 5'6'', 180 lbs kid a computer and a forum to post on and he will become one. [philsopher]

and it also depends on what you consider philosophy.

everyone can be a philosopher. What seperates the worse ones from the real ones are

1) Credentials
2) Maturity of Idea
3) The ability to cover most holes in their theories
4) Solid logic in most instances
