I'd like the show more if they didn't go about things so viciously, I suppose that's part of the package they're trying to sell though. I don't think the judges nor the workers on the show need to be so caustic, it's sort of depressing how inconsiderate they are. I understand that some people need "a reality check," but if someone didn't get accepted, and they were told plainly why, without excess taunting and mockery, it seems that would be enough to show a reasonable person that they may not have what it takes to make it in the entertainment world. It's not just the judges either, the host of the show will go up to people that are noticeable, and it's obvious that the host doesn't take them seriously, and that the purpose of interviewing this person is just for a laugh on behalf of the viewers at home, that sort of malice bothers me. I think the show could still be succesful without all of the sarcasm, shows in other countries (Notably Japan, shows like ASAYAN were the place where hit artists like CHEMISTRY, Ami Suzuki, Morning Musume, and EXILE started out. Obviously though, there are cultural differences which make for different possibilities, I suppose.). I guess though, that the show is the way it is because that is how the audience here wants it to be.
