from a religious point of view i suppose they do exist, so then when you die, your soul can go to heaven/hell. Maybe the actual emotions that we experience come from our souls, and our tangible bodies are only useful to sustain our life here on earth. But when we die, life doesn't need to be sustained anymore, so then the soul can go about solely by itself (homonym puahah).
But on a day to day basis i really don't think about souls and whether they exist or not, the things i experience are experienced by me not by "my soul." Souls aren't really things that are that significant in my daily life, thus, questions about them don't really cross my mind that often. (eh that was a little confusing  )
