i just saw a movie called fong sai yuk (hella old HK movie from the early 90's; starring jet li). well, in it, jet li is kind of a fugitive towards the end and the govt officials start questioning all of his friends as to whether they knew about his whereabouts and whatnot. his two best friends were brought in to be questioned and one of them lied and pretended he didn't know jet li, but his other one called that guy a coward and refused to acknowledge that fact that he didn't know jet li. the one who said he knew jet li was beaten to death and the other one felt really remorseful afterwards.
anyway, i was just wondering what you would do if you were in this situation. would you have protected your life and pretended you didn't know your friend, or would you have told the truth?

is easy to say u would protect your friend, but if you are in that situation that your life is at risk you would prbably think twice.

for me i guess depends on the situation, if i find that i can lie and they can't do anything about it, then i would surely lie.
