Today I learned a really valuable lesson. This guy came on my ftp asking to get some n64 roms. Trouble was he was on dialup so it would take a while to send the files. Normally i don't let 56k'ers to access my ftp but i made an exception cause this guy was polite. So after the download was complete, he queried me and asked me if i needed help with my channel. I said sure why not. Turns out this guy has a shell account and would share it with me for free. He's this guy from Turkey who's a network admin.


So let that be a lesson to you kids, do people favors, you'll be repaid with interest.

when you do someone a favor, do you expect some courtesy or do you just assume they're exempt from being grateful because it was a good deed? in most cases, people just take and take and take and it discourages you, but stick with it, and maybe some one with enough manners to say thank you will pop along and even someone who repays you some how

There is a 3rd Rock from the Sun episode where Harry and Tommy find a wallet and return it. They get no reward or acknowledgement and they flip out. I can't exactly remember what happened at the end but... i think they ended up beating up the guy/annoying the hell out of him. Then he gives them money but they don't take it. I think the reactions of the characters show so much into human nature because the characters are supposedly uninformed/ignorant to the way of society.

I don't know but I think "favors" or good deeds are their own reward. which leads to...

(I watch too much tv but) There was also a Friends episode where Pheobe and Joey are arguing that no good deed is selfless.


Yea I seriously do watch too much tv -_-. But not everything on tv these days is corrupted. haha.
