I think my women's studies class just died

Did WST 103 commit suicide?
Lillian S. Robinson on Men's studies:
"...These books point out the damage that is done to men by the expectations attendant on their traditional role. Both as breadwinner and as authority figure, the unliberated man, they argue, has to bear a burden rendered all the heavier by his alienation from emotional expression..."
Kate Stimpson on Men's studies:
"To be "Masculine" is to have a particular psychological identity, social role, cultural script, place in the labor force..."real men" should define themselves in at least three way. First, they earn money in the public labor force and support their families through that effort. Next, they have formal power over women and children. Finally, they are heterosexual..."
These are very insightful observations that point out inequalities within the gender roles of men and women.
However in BIO 105 a video was shown to the class. In this video women were interviewed on what type of men they are attracted to. Their answers varied in accordance with their menstrual cycles. Far from time where conception is most likely the women would say that they want a man with kinder gentler features, one who would be there with them over the long run, while closer to optimal conditions for conception they preferred men who seemed strong with all the other "dominant" features. In contrast to this article given to us by WST 103 we now have the basis of where the "breadwinner" and "authority figure" come from. The kind males who take care of children and provide for the family, as well as the strong, dominant male.
So WST 103 did not commit suicide, but rather was murdered by BIO 105

No, those are just quotes from the reading assignments. We haven't discussed them yet. I am curious as to what my teacher's and classmates' responses will be like though.

Oh man, this just went up on this online discussion board for the class. It's a debate you could only dream of finding on soompi.

I don't know if it'd be moral to post it up here. Because the discussion board is only visible to members of the class and I don't know if the posters would be offended that others would be able to read them. I don't know if anyone would be curious enough to see it anyway.
