i got a problem, i've been liking this girl for awhile now and we've been friends for about a year or 2 but knew each other for a very long time. I've been asking people for their opinions and the have been saying go for it and stuff like that. Then i asked my cousin, she knows her alot more... she said "no, because she told me that she could never see herself going out with u because ur like a brother to her", that just ripped me. I mean its nice knowing i'm a brotherly figure to her but i want something more... but should i just forget about opinions and just go for her.. or follow what may keep me away from rejection and enjoy our relationship that we have now....

that sorta happened to me and against my better judgement.. i said "i liked you.." so it got awkward real quick. talked to her the next day. and havent talked to her for about a month n half afterwards. but we're both too kool to not be friends so now we're still friends. but the embarassment of having to tell her was pure utter humilation. but im glad i told her. i dont think by telling her she would've said "i wanna be your gf". if she has no feelings for you and ESPECIALLY if she thinks of you like a brother.. then i guess the only benefit of telling her your feelings is for your own sake. but who nkows... it could be diff for you. good luck.

yeah, thas happened to me too .. there was a guy i liked for a long time .. but .. he always told me how much of a good friend i was and how he doesnt like to date friends cuz it fucks things up .. and i do agree with him .. but .. theres a chance i guess that she might feel the same as u .. u never kno, i say ask her .. but u are risking things to be awkward afterwards .. im happi i didnt go out with him tho .. cuz i see where hes comin from, and i love my bf now .. and wouldnt want it ne otha way
