I think there has to be a balance in the world between good and evil. like the yin and the yang. Without balance, the world gets corrupted, like the food chain. If one thing in the food chain gets taken away, the rest of the food chain collapses, although that one part of the food chain that went away isn't necessary for those on the higher part of the food chain. Without evil, how can you learn? How can you learn and become stronger? I don't like the idea of everything being a utopia, like the book the giver. That book describes an idealistic utopia, perfect society... and yet it's pretty messed up.
Everything requires a balance.
