ok in most computers in the back of them there are two little ports. or sometimes maybe four. and if your computer is new in the front. the symbol for USB looks like this



With the USB you can plug in lots of things. MP3 players, printers and like i said many other things.

oh yeah computer peripherals are things connected to the central processing (CPU) unit by cable.
