hmm, do you think it depends on where you live?
I think taking action is good to promote diversity... for instance, I live in a small town full of white people... when I first moved here, the people made fun of me and made me want to be some one else that I wasn't... they tormented me as much as they could... this occured when I was in elementary school. ELEMENTARY SCHOOL... come on, even the little kids knew how to make fun of those who "looked" different... I was made fun of on a regular bases that I went home crying and I hated this town... I was mean in middle school and I would kick anyone's behind if they said anything that I thought was racial... seriously, people were scared of me... now in high school, I'm taking action and educating those that diversity is okay to have, and they're more accepting of differences now... I'm still acting in what I believe in and I don't see how educating those who don't understand is discriminating...
basically, I just think that if you knew how it was like, you'd want to take the action and teach also...
btw, diversity is the differences between all things... bluntly
