Give it time?

I like this girl and I found out that she has a small crush on me... but she told my friend that she wouldn't wanna be in a relationship with me because she and I don't know each other too well...

Well, you know, sometimes when you get to know someone and you two become better friends, the chance of you two going out gets slimmer... not all the time but it does happen

So what should I do? Being her friend and getting to know her is automatic... even if i knew she would never like me I'd still be her friend..but

should I give it time and hope for the best?

or should I still be her friend but try to move on..?

[[edit]]

yea..when i read this, it doesn't make a whole lot of sense

She doesn't know you very well... and that's her reason. I say she's just trying to toy around with you. (Meh... call me a cynic). Now lets get serious here... who knows anyone? No one. hah. That didn't make sense. Getting to know each other better is a
"DUH". As time goes on it happens, whether you mean to or not. If that's the reason that inhibits her from starting a relationship with you... I say: get to know her more. As friends, love interest... doesn't matter because her reason is that she doesn't know you very well/well enough.

Should you move on? Unrequited love SUCKS... so go for it. You can still be friends.

depends on how much yu like her. if yu like her enough, just being frends with her and moving on may not be an option. i say go for it. get to kno her. let her get to kno yu. meanwhile, don't give up on that ass.

the best advice i can give you:

Just be yourself around her.

Then. Say wsup. Hold a conversation with her. Hang out with her see what kind of person she is and more importantly for you let her know what kind of person you are. If you guys are still interested then pursue a relationship. If not.. oh well. Not every relationship was meant to be. Just remember that. Also if it doesn't work out, don't be one of those dudes that wallow in self-pity just cuz it didn't work out with a girl. It's pitiful and unattractive in character.

-edit-

fugg you're only 16 eh? don't worry bout relationships and GO STUDY! who needs to worry bout girls at this point in their life. d=D

Personally, I don't think that becoming friends inhibits a deepr relationship from forming; I think that we often choose friends from the opposite sex that we have little intention of ever going out with.

In your position...I would start talking to the girl more, just whenever you see her. Try to get comfortable around her and allow her to get comfortable around you. And if things look like they're going well, then go for it.

I don't think there's such a thing as "trying to move on," anyway. The more effort you put into trying to get someone out of your head, the harder it is to do so.

1) I have no clue what the hell you're talking about with the "OCD whale experiment" thing.

2) Yeah...Matt's definitely more comfortable around me now...too bad I don't have 4th open. Then again he's comfortable doing that kinda stuff around anyone.

Ok perhaps it was a polar bear thing. Anyway what it is is an experiment that involved thinking about a polar bear. First a group of people was asked to think about a polar bear as much as possible during a time interval, then people were asked to not think about a polar bear during a time interval. The during the time intervals they had to keep track of how many times they thought of a polar bear, in the second interval thoughts of polar bears were quite frequent, I don't think I remember if it was actually more frequent than the first but the point is that if you try to keep something out of your head intentionally, it'll be in your head without you intending it to.
