why do so many people wish they were skinny?why is skinny considered beautiful?

it's the way society is. it's almost always been like that. thin and slender is considered beautiful in many cultures. *shrug* i'd personally want more cushion for the pushin, but i must admit that with today's clothes, they look better on a slimmer physique.

hmm i dunno its like...guys say they like more cushion for tha pushin and so on and then they see this slim sexy girl walk by and their like DAYUM lol and then they see a girl a lil chunky and most are like she needs to lose weight or put some clothes on lol...so its like a lot of guys say one thing but then they dont go with it .. i think its like .. they dont want a CHUNKY girl..but like the ones on ex. shake ya tailfeather video where the girl got really thick thighs and big boobs but she still gotta small waist and no cellulite and shit haha .. iono cant explain it

that is just the time period we live in..go back a few hundred years ago and plump girls were considered beautiful..go ahead a few hundred years and maybe there will be another view on what is a beautiful body...i guess nowadays "skinny" is considered beautiful cuz soo many of the "it" female celebs are on the slim side..and cuz of the clothes..gettin skimpier and skimpier so ppl feel that they will look better in them if they were skinnier..iono..i myself wish to be skinnier only because i think i looked better when i was thinner..i do think some girls look a lot better with some meat and curves though, it just depends on the person

im pretty skinny but is not like i diet or anything, haha n i always get comments from ppl like u r skinny, eat more n stuff like tat [esp from family members like aunts n grandmas!!] is kinda annoying i mean jeez im not like ally mcbeal skinny or anything! is my family genes cos we all skinny tho we eat like pigs haha!

well anyways when we see magazines n ppl on tv they all skinny so is like that means being that way is beautiful or something n that really bites. wish i could see a beauty magazine that have NORMAL ppl modelling n not some perfect model haha but yea is society, i guess individually we all gotta jus be happy wid ourselves cos u know we all beautiful cos we all human beings

i've always thought that guys would prefer skinny girls...like slims girl...but i guess...some guys likem plump! so that means...i dont have to be so skinny then? hehehe...

I think there is definitely a difference between skinny and thin. thin is more healthy. skinny has a negative connotation to me. Or maybe both words do.

But you know one is where you can obviously tell it's sort of a natural body thing. They're skinny by nature.

And some work out and they're fit/thin.

In korean there is more of a difference

Well from what I've been told. guys don't think skinny is hot. Thin is another story. [I'm comparing "mal lat suh" with "nal shin heh"]
Most Korean guys I talk to say they'd much rather have a girl who is nal shin heh than mal lat suh. Either way that means small girls I g uess.
