There is a list on the Atkins website that tells carb count for certain foods.
My sister is on the Atkins diet, and she has lost a lot of weight on it. And, don't worry too much about your appetite, after a while you'll want to eat less and less food. Not because it's unappetizing, but just because you'll still be full from the meal you will have eaten about five hours ago.
Some foods that I can list off right now that are low in carbs obviously include any kind of meat, then there is:
tofu, bok choy, green leafy vegetables, atkins bars, a moderate amount of cheese(about 2oz. I believe per day), cream, cream cheese(you can make yourself cheescake, how's that?), splenda, keato crumbs(special order), a lot of special order items(like tofu crumbs if you ever want to make a cheesecake), caffeine free herbal tea, et
The Atkins diet was designed by a cardiologist. It has been proven, at least in the short term, to improve overall health especially in people suffering from diabetes.
To the nay-sayers, I advise that you do some research.
I hope I helped a little
