why? why not? It's a nationally known holiday...just knowing that you're sharing an intimate day/night with your loved one, while so many others are as well,...kind of feels good eh? If you don't have a loved one, even still, it's a perfect chance for you to ask someone, it's a perfect excuse...who know's you might find the one of your dreams, because you shared an enlightening conversation at dinner with her. I think if any of you guys had a valentine's date, you would've changed your opinion about the 14th of feb. **just an assumption.
I didn't have a valentine, doesn't mean I shun that day. Doesn't mean that I have a grudge on those who "only show their love for their significant other on valentine's day." Sure, give the person a rose everyday to show them you love them...on valentine's day, give them a dosen, same with their b-day...Why not? It's not like you love them only on V-day, but like I said before, it's like you're declaring your love...while millions of people are declaring it as well. **just my opinion.
