one god?
this is my theory ~
i've been thinking...maib there isn't a "right" or "wrong" religion cuz maib there's one god. pplz alwaize interpret things differently. is it not possible that God (i'm catholic btw) appeared to many different pplz all over the world and they all saw him differently and so interpreted Him differently so there are so many different religions?
i am Catholic, which means i am Christian. as every1 noez, christians hav interpreted the original Bible differently and there are many branches of Christianity - Lutherans, Methodists, Presbyterians, Baptists, etc etc etc there are hundreds!! if christians - pplz originating from one source and sharing the same cultures, backgrounds, etc - cud interpret their own Bible - one Book - differently, i find it highly possible that pplz of diff ethnicities and cultures cud interpret God differently.
for instance - there is a VERY strong resemblance between Christianity and Islam, isn't there? there Holy Books are pretti much the same, and Allah is Arabic for God. there obviously is a stronger resemblance between Christianity and other religions wit one god, but how bout polytheism?
Hinduism and the ancient Greek, Roman, and Egyptian religions all have many deities. however, they all had one main, central god. true, christianity onli has one god, but for catholocism, there are the saints, which we also pray to....and - for the ancient Greek gods, there were 12 gods on mt Olympus rite? didn't Jesus hav 12 disciples?
realli...maib it's onli the way we interpret god's HELPERS. we mite think of them as saints, othr minor gods, etc. i onli see 2 main differences; the one i stated above, and the othr may be that pplz dun think Jesus is the son of god. I do of course, but in othr religions he is a prophet...
soo...i've noticed alotta things...i dunno maib i just think too much and this all means absolutely nothing :/ but we won't realli noe till we die rite? i hope at least some of that made sense :(
