An American Supercar - Saleen S7
the new S7 delivers race-car performance in a road-going package. Its 7.0-liter pushrod V-8 belts out 550 bhp and 525 lb.-ft. of torque, assuring warp speeds at will. Expect 0-60-mph sprints somewhere south of 4 sec. and a top speed in excess of 200 mph.
-Road and Track
Sleek and aggressive, the S7 looks every part the supercar. And performance matches appearance, thanks to a thundering V-8, light overall weight and racing technology throughout.
Under its carbon fiber bodywork, the S7 is pure race car. The steel space frame is built around a mid-engine configuration with unequal A-arms at all four corners and racing-spec Brembo brakes.
The S7's tastefully designed interior tightly wraps its occupants in rich Spinneybeck leather. Once belted in, the cockpit proves surprisingly comfortable and accommodating for a supercar.
It wouldn't be a supercar without scissor-style doors and a roofline that's barely above your bellybutton. Equally striking is the S7's extremely wide stance and long silhouette.
Only marginally less powerful than its racing brethren, the 7.0-liter V-8 puts out a healthy 550 bhp and a staggering 525 lb.-ft. of torque. Good enough for 0-60 mph in under 4 seconds.
